Showcase for York 800 celebrations
Visit York hosted the annual conference of the Group Travel Organisers Association (GTOA) – which represents the interests of 450 member companies who organise tours and trips for groups – for the first time in the city over the weekend.
Delegates were taken on a tour of attractions including the Mansion House, Jorvik Viking Centre, Clifford’s Tower, Castle Museum and National Railway Museum.

“We pulled out all the stops to ensure this visit was a huge success and expect to reap the benefits of this conference for years to come.”
Group visits generated an estimated £25m contribution to the York economy in 2010.
