Murdoch’s new role to continue dynasty
James Murdoch’s newly created role, announced yesterday, will have him move to New York from London and continue to report to News Corp’s deputy chairman and chief operating officer Chase Carey.
He will also continue to run News Corp’s international operations.

Hide AdThe move for the younger Murdoch will be taken as a sign that News Corp chief executive Rupert Murdoch is starting to clarify a succession plan.
It has always been expected Murdoch would position one of his children as an eventual CEO of the company he founded.
James Murdoch, 38, has been an executive at News Corp for more than 15 years in various roles.
