Landmark offices to boost the West End
Construction is due to start on 10 Wellington Place next month after commercial law firm Shulmans confirmed it would take 15,000 sq ft across two floors of the development, which will include ground floor retail space.
Rick de Blaby, CEO of MEPC, the property development and management firm behind Wellington Place, said: “We believe 10 Wellington Place will be the first new build grade A office development to be completed in Leeds city centre for five years, since The Mint in Holbeck was completed in 2009.”

MEPC said that 10 Wellington Place is “the first step” towards developing the rest of the estate, marking “the next phase of regeneration in the West End of Leeds”.
Jeff Pearey, head of the Leeds office at Jones Lang LaSalle, the letting agents which acted on behalf of MEPC, said: “It’s a major achievement in this market to agree a pre-let.”
Together with the opening of Trinity Leeds and the upcoming launch of Leeds Arena, this new development helps the city to show it is open for business.
